Robex Resources Inc. has initiated the commissioning phase at its Kiniéro Gold Project in Guinea, West Africa, positioning the company to achieve its target of first gold production in the fourth quarter of 2025. This critical milestone was announced in a November 2025 project construction update, confirming the project remains on schedule and within budget.
Key Project Milestones Achieved
The company reported significant progress across multiple areas of the operation. The commissioning and operations team is now fully mobilized on site, ready to oversee the final stages before production begins. In a crucial step towards processing, first ore has been delivered to the Run-of-Mine (ROM) pad, and the mobilization of the mining contractor fleet is nearly complete.
Grade control drilling over the Sabali pit has been finished, providing essential data for the initial mining phases. The tailing storage facility, a key environmental and operational component, is also nearing completion and will be prepared for ore commissioning alongside the process plant.
Infrastructure and Plant Readiness
Substantial advancements have been made in the project's core infrastructure. The installation and testing of the power station engines are complete, awaiting final energization. Electrical work and pre-commissioning activities within the process plant are progressing according to the planned schedule.
Several specific systems have reached operational readiness. Pre-commissioning of the High Voltage (HV) Switchgear is finished, with energization planned for the immediate future. The entire communication network within the process plant is installed, connected to the control system, and powered.
In the Carbon-in-Leach (CIL) circuit, the motor control centre is energized, and function testing of drives has started. The tanks for CIL Train A have been filled with water and are prepared for load testing of agitators and intertank screens. For the milling circuit, the SAG mill drive train is installed and aligned, with the inching drive energized. Work on the ball mill is following closely behind.
Leadership Confirms Project Trajectory
Matthew Wilcox, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Robex, expressed satisfaction with the project's methodical progress. "Kiniéro is moving closer to completion each month," Wilcox stated, "and it is pleasing to see this progress continue in a safe and methodical manner, maintaining our schedule to achieve first gold in 2025."
He emphasized that the commencement of process plant commissioning represents another major milestone. With grade control drilling complete and ore already on the ROM pad, most project aspects are finalizing, keeping the company on target. Wilcox also confirmed that Robex is "fully funded and is on budget for Kiniéro’s build completion," providing significant reassurance to investors and stakeholders.
Robex Resources Inc., traded on the ASX as RXR and the TSX-V as RBX, is a West African gold producer and developer. The company remains well-positioned to complete the construction of the Kiniéro project and realize its goal of first gold production before the end of the year.
