Costco Wholesale has officially opened its eighth Canadian Business Centre in New Westminster, British Columbia, marking a significant expansion of its specialized business-focused retail concept in Western Canada.
A Major Boost for Local Businesses and Employment
The new 146,000 square-foot facility at 1085 Tanaka Court represents a substantial investment in the local economy, having created 290 new jobs for the community. Located north of Highway 91A near Boyd Street, the centre opened its doors on November 14, 2025, offering unprecedented convenience for business owners throughout the region.
This landmark opening establishes the first Business Centre of its kind in British Columbia. It forms a crucial part of Costco's national expansion strategy, with additional Business Centre locations planned to open across Canada in the coming months.

Unlike traditional Costco warehouses, the Business Centre concept specifically targets commercial clients. More than 70 percent of the product offerings are unique to the Business Centre, carefully selected to meet the needs of businesses of all sizes.
The New Westminster location stocks over 3,000 high-quality items targeted at restaurants, convenience and grocery stores, and offices. The product range spans from bulk food items and commercial kitchen wares to cleaning supplies, office furniture, and coffee needs.

The facility boasts impressive infrastructure designed for business efficiency, including an almost 14,000 square-foot cooler and a designated outdoor loading area. With its own fleet of 8 delivery trucks, the Costco Business Centre offers next-day delivery within a designated zone extending across the city.
Business owners can shop both in-store and online at Costcobusinesscentre.ca, with business-friendly operating hours from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday.
