Two Edmonton restaurants have been recognized among Canada's best brunch and lunch destinations, earning spots on OpenTable's prestigious annual list.
Pip and Happy & Olive Honored
Happy & Olive, located near 96 Avenue and 142 Street, and Pip, situated at 83 Avenue and Calgary Trail, have both been included in OpenTable's Canada's Top 100 Brunch and Lunch Restaurants for 2026. The announcement was made in a news release on Tuesday.
Pip, described on its website as "a bright, airy restaurant in the heart of Old Strathcona, serving brunch, dinner and wine seven days a week," has become a local favorite for its inviting atmosphere and diverse menu. Happy & Olive aims to "build a community gathering place and serve tasty food properly prepared from locally sourced ingredients," according to its site.
How the List is Compiled
OpenTable's annual list highlights dining destinations that Canadians consistently rate highly for mid-day dining. The rankings are based on a comparison of diner reviews, ratings, and reservation demands, using data from online reservations across all active restaurants on the OpenTable platform, with corresponding data from May 2024.
The recognition underscores Edmonton's growing reputation as a culinary destination, with both restaurants earning praise for their brunch offerings and commitment to quality.
