A 54-year-old man from Saint John has died following a two-vehicle collision in northern New Brunswick, according to police. The crash occurred on Route 8 near Boiestown on Thursday afternoon. The New Brunswick RCMP responded to the scene around 3 p.m. and found two vehicles with significant damage. The Saint John man, who was driving one of the vehicles, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital. The cause of the collision is under investigation, but police say speed and weather conditions may have been factors. Route 8 was closed for several hours as investigators reconstructed the scene. Police are asking anyone with information or dashcam footage to contact the RCMP.
