RCMP charge Wilkie man with copper theft, drug trafficking

Saskatchewan RCMP have charged a 33-year-old man from Wilkie in connection with a copper theft from a grain elevator and drug trafficking. The charges follow an investigation that began in early April 2026, when RCMP received a report of stolen copper wiring from a grain elevator in the Wilkie area.

Investigation and Arrest

RCMP officers from the Wilkie detachment, along with the General Investigation Section, executed a search warrant at a residence in Wilkie on April 25, 2026. During the search, police seized a quantity of drugs, including methamphetamine and cocaine, as well as cash and stolen copper wiring. The total value of the seized items is estimated at over $10,000.

The accused, Jordan Michael Fiddler, has been charged with theft over $5,000, possession of stolen property over $5,000, possession for the purpose of trafficking (methamphetamine), possession for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine), and possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000.

Court Appearance

Fiddler appeared in North Battleford Provincial Court on April 27, 2026, and was remanded into custody. He is scheduled to appear again on May 4, 2026. The investigation is ongoing, and RCMP anticipate further charges may be laid.
