An impaired driver in a stolen vehicle is facing charges after being stopped by Abbotsford police, authorities announced on Monday.
Incident Details
According to the Abbotsford Police Department, officers located the stolen car during a routine patrol on Sunday evening. The driver was pulled over and subsequently failed a breathalyzer test, leading to an arrest.
Charges Filed
The suspect, whose identity has not been released, faces multiple charges including impaired driving, possession of stolen property, and driving without a valid license. Police say the investigation is ongoing.
“This incident highlights the dangers of impaired driving and the importance of recovering stolen vehicles,” said a police spokesperson. “We are grateful no one was injured.”
The accused is scheduled to appear in court later this week.
