Toronto police have charged a man following the execution of two search warrants in Toronto and Ajax on April 29. The raids resulted in the seizure of firearms, ammunition, drugs, and cash, according to authorities.
Details of the Seizures
During the coordinated operations, officers recovered multiple handguns, various types of ammunition, a quantity of illegal drugs including cocaine and fentanyl, and a significant amount of Canadian currency. The total value of the seized items is still being assessed.
Charges Laid
A 34-year-old man from Toronto has been charged with several offenses, including possession of a loaded prohibited firearm, possession of a firearm with altered serial number, possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of proceeds of crime. He appeared in court on May 1 and has been remanded into custody.
Police stated that the investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be filed. They also urged anyone with information about the case to contact them or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
