Abbotsford police made an early morning arrest on Wednesday, recovering a stolen truck and a significant quantity of illegal drugs. The arrest occurred around 4:30 a.m. in the 3200 block of King Road, where officers observed a suspicious vehicle.
Upon investigation, police determined the truck had been reported stolen. A subsequent search of the vehicle uncovered more than 300 grams of suspected cocaine and fentanyl, along with approximately $3,200 in cash. The drugs have an estimated street value of over $30,000.
A 35-year-old man from Abbotsford was taken into custody without incident. He faces multiple charges, including possession of stolen property over $5,000, possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of proceeds of crime.
Police believe the seizure will disrupt local drug trafficking operations. The suspect is scheduled to appear in court later this week. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the Abbotsford Police Department.
