Leadership Transition and Strategic Vision
The appointment follows a comprehensive selection process, with Bonin set to take over from Stéphane Milot, who has served as Interim Chief Financial Officer. Milot will return to his previous role as Vice President of Investor Relations and Financial Planning & Analysis. Both executives will collaborate closely to ensure a seamless transition, maintaining momentum in financial operations and supporting the company's strategic objectives.
Patrick Decostre, President and Chief Executive Officer of Boralex, expressed enthusiasm about Bonin's arrival. "I am very pleased to welcome Philippe to Boralex as we enter a new phase of expansion," Decostre stated. "His extensive experience across capital-intensive and growth-driven sectors, combined with his expertise, will complement our executive team's strengths. I am confident he will bring renewed momentum to our development and make significant contributions from day one."

Philippe Bonin is a seasoned financial executive with a robust career spanning regulated industries, telecommunications, technology, media, and private equity. Known for his people-centered leadership style, Bonin has a proven track record in strategic capital allocation, mergers and acquisitions, project evaluations, and long-term financial planning. His diverse experience equips him to navigate complex business environments and drive value creation.
Bonin shared his excitement about joining Boralex, saying, "I am honoured to contribute to Boralex's mission at such a pivotal moment in its growth, marked by new ambitions and tremendous opportunities. I look forward to working with the Finance team and leaders across the company to advance value-creating initiatives in all our markets."

He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and holds an MBA from McGill University, underscoring his strong academic and professional foundation in finance and management.
Organizational Restructuring and Future Directions
As part of this leadership change, Boralex will integrate its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) functions into the Finance department, effective March 2. This move aims to leverage synergies between these teams, enhancing strategic alignment. Mihaela Stefanov, previously leading CSR and ERM, will transition to a new role as Special Projects Lead in Asset Management, focusing on optimizing asset performance and advancing high-impact initiatives across North America.
