Alternative Mutual Fund Strategies

Manulife Alternative Mutual Funds have the ability to invest in asset classes or use investment strategies not permitted for conventional mutual funds. These include increased use of derivatives for hedging and non-hedging purposes, short selling, and borrowing cash for investment. If undertaken, these strategies may accelerate the pace at which the funds decrease in value during certain market conditions.
