Abcourt Mines Announces Completion of High-Resolution Drone Magnetic Survey on Flordin Property
ROUYN-NORANDA, Canada – Abcourt Mines Inc., trading as ABI on the TSX Venture and ABMBF on the OTCQB, has officially announced the successful completion of a high-resolution drone magnetic survey conducted in early January on its Flordin property. The results from this advanced survey are now available, providing critical insights for the company's ongoing exploration efforts.
Key Findings from the Survey
The survey, which covered the entire Flordin property with 463 kilometers of flight lines spaced 35 meters apart at a height of approximately 32 meters, revealed several significant geological features. The main east-SE/west-NW strike magnetic anomaly is continuous across the property, corresponding to the mafic lava sequence of the Vanier-Dalet-Poirier Group, known to host gold mineralization.
Additionally, the first derivative of the vertical gradient confirmed late structural displacements, as observed in previous stripping and a 2025 study by GEOX Consulting Inc. These displacements affect mineralized zones, and the new data enhances the predictivity for planning future work. All drilling scheduled for 2026, totaling 20,000 meters, is located within this magnetic anomaly, ensuring targeted exploration.
Implications for Gold Exploration
The continuity of the magnetic anomaly underscores the presence of the Cameron Shear Corridor, a major channel for gold mineralization within the mafic volcanic sequence. The survey's processing of magnetic data, including first and second vertical derivatives, clearly visualizes late NE-SW oriented structures that shift geological units. This confirmation allows Abcourt Mines to optimize its drilling campaigns and increase operational efficiency.
Pascal Hamelin, President and Chief Executive Officer of Abcourt Mines, commented, "The results of this high-resolution magnetic survey are convincing. It was necessary to carry out this project, especially with technological advances in geophysics. The survey demonstrates the continuity of the magnetic anomaly over our entire property, aiding in planning and enhancing the efficiency of our current drill campaign."
Technical Verification and Future Steps
The technical information in this press release has been verified and approved by Robert Gagnon, P.Geo., Vice-President Exploration of the Company, and Marc Boivin, P.Geo., a consulting geophysicist. Abcourt Mines looks forward to receiving initial assay results from the ongoing drilling campaign, which aims to further delineate gold resources on the Flordin property.
