Brunswick Exploration Finds Seven New Lithium Targets in Quebec

Brunswick Exploration Announces Major Lithium Discovery in Quebec's James Bay Region

MONTREAL – Brunswick Exploration Inc. (TSX-V: BRW, OTCQB: BRWXF; FRANKFURT:1XQ) has made a significant breakthrough in its lithium exploration efforts, identifying seven new spodumene targets and staking additional claims at the Anatacau Main Project in the Eeyou-Istchee James Bay region of Quebec. This development comes as drilling operations are currently underway at the strategically located project.

Strategic Location and High-Priority Targets

The Anatacau Main Project is situated just 22 kilometers east of a major proven lithium-bearing structural corridor, positioning it along strike from Rio Tinto's Galaxy Project and Brunswick's own Anatacau West Project. The company has categorized the new discoveries into three distinct areas, each representing substantial exploration potential.

Killian Charles, President and CEO of Brunswick Exploration, expressed enthusiasm about the findings: "Anatacau is rapidly proving to be one of the most exciting projects in our portfolio alongside Mirage. The addition of these seven potential spodumene showings within larger packages of highly evolved and favorable pegmatites represents a major advancement in our exploration efforts."

Detailed Breakdown of New Discoveries

The newly identified targets are distributed across three key areas:

  • Area A (Anais Discovery Targets): Located two to five kilometers south of the current drilling site at the Anais showing, this area contains three unverified spodumene showings identified through compilation work. Satellite imagery has revealed over 200 pegmatite outcrops in this zone, with the largest measuring approximately 500 by 200 meters.
  • Area B (Newly Staked Targets): Contiguous and immediately west of the Anatacau Main Project, Brunswick has completed staking covering three additional unverified spodumene showings and 150 pegmatite outcrops. The largest identified outcrop here measures 800 by 100 meters, potentially forming a new secondary trend to the lithium-bearing structural corridor.
  • Area C (Pontax Trend Targets): This emerging NE–SW regional lithium-bearing structural corridor extends over 20 kilometers across the southern portion of the Anatacau Property. Brunswick has identified over 13 highly fractionated pegmatites with favorable K/Rb ratios (below 30 and as low as 14) within over 90 pegmatite outcrops, with the largest visible outcrop measuring approximately 200 by 50 meters.

Exploration Strategy and Future Plans

Charles emphasized that these high-priority targets resulted from additional compilation work in preparation for the ongoing drill program, highlighting the significant exploration potential of the project. "Following the drill program at Anais, Brunswick will commence a major prospecting campaign to rapidly evaluate these new targets once ground conditions permit field activities," he stated.

The Pontax trend continues to demonstrate its importance as a lithium corridor, extending southwest where it hosts Cygnus Metals' Pontax Lithium Project and Li-FT Power's Pontax Project. The discovery of these new targets significantly expands the exploration potential surrounding the Anais discovery and reinforces the region's status as a critical lithium exploration district.

Brunswick Exploration's systematic approach to target identification through compilation work and satellite imagery analysis has yielded these promising results, positioning the company at the forefront of lithium exploration in Quebec's mineral-rich James Bay region.
