Yukon Metals Expands Copper-Gold Mineralization at Birch Project
Drilling Expands Copper-Gold Mineralization in Yukon

Yukon Metals Corp has announced promising results from its 2025 drilling campaign at the Birch Copper-Gold Project, revealing substantial expansion of near-surface mineralization with a significant lateral extension of the skarn system.

Significant Drill Results Reveal Expanded Mineralization

The Vancouver-based company reported assays from two additional drill holes, BR25-002 and BR25-004, demonstrating a 500-meter lateral extension to the copper-gold bearing skarn mineralization. The results indicate that mineralized horizons are not only persistent but occurring at shallower depths than previously identified.

According to the November 20, 2025 announcement, hole BR25-002 returned 10.1 meters of 0.21% copper from only 58.6 meters depth, including a high-grade interval of 1.8 meters containing 1.12% copper. Meanwhile, BR25-004, located 500 meters east of earlier drilling, intersected 16.0 meters of 0.20% copper, confirming the lateral continuity of the mineralized system.

CEO Comments on Project Progress

"These results show that the mineralized skarn horizons are both persistent and occurring closer to surface, with solid copper grades across multiple intervals," stated Rory Quinn, President and CEO of Yukon Metals. "Confirming continuity between widely spaced holes strengthens our understanding of the system as we await further assays."

The company leadership emphasized that the borehole data reveals copper and gold-bearing skarn horizons encountered in previous drilling are present at shallower levels in the new holes, potentially improving the project's economics through reduced mining depth.

Technical Details and Project Location

The 2025 drill program at Birch consisted of 1,685 meters of HQ diamond drill core across six holes from four pads. The Birch Copper-Gold Project is located 65 kilometers northeast of Burwash Landing, Yukon, and is 100% owned by Yukon Metals Corp.

Key technical highlights from the drilling include:

  • BR25-002 intersected multiple mineralized zones, including 22.5 meters of 0.10% copper equivalent mineralization
  • BR25-004 demonstrated that marble and skarn horizons extend continuously to the west
  • Near-surface high-grade zones are hosted within foliated skarn units containing disseminated and banded sulfides

The company continues to analyze results from the remaining drill holes as it works to develop a comprehensive understanding of the Birch Project's mineral potential.
