G2 Goldfields Extends High-Grade OKO Resource to 1km Depth
G2 Goldfields Extends OKO Resource to 1km Depth

G2 Goldfields Inc. has announced new assay results from its ongoing diamond drilling program at the OKO Project in Guyana, successfully extending high-grade gold mineralization to depths of 1 kilometer. The deepest hole drilled to date returned 84.5 meters at 3.0 grams per tonne gold from 915 meters, extending the mineralization by 140 meters vertically, where it remains open.

Drilling Highlights

Eight drill rigs are currently focused on infill, expansion, and discovery drilling. Notable infill results include hole GDD270, which returned 20.8 meters at 9.6 grams per tonne gold, including 4.4 meters at 36.1 grams per tonne gold. Drilling in the "Border Zone" continues to extend gold mineralization south of the existing Ghanie resource, with a high-grade interval of 3.0 meters at 10.8 grams per tonne gold from 490 meters.

Project Background

On April 9, 2026, G2 entered into a definitive agreement for G Mining Ventures Corp. to acquire all outstanding shares of G2, expected to close in June 2026. In December 2025, G2 released a Preliminary Economic Assessment outlining a combined open pit and underground operation with a 14-year mine life and estimated total production of 3.2 million ounces gold at all-in sustaining costs of US$1,191 per ounce. Annual production is projected to average 298,000 ounces during years 3 through 10.

Assay Results

Assay results are reported for 22 new diamond drill holes completed within the Ghanie deposit, totaling 10,828 meters. Key highlights include:

  • GDD277B: 84.5 meters at 3.0 g/t Au from 915.5 meters, including 6.0 meters at 13.4 g/t Au
  • GDD270: 20.8 meters at 9.6 g/t Au from 298.9 meters, including 4.4 meters at 36.1 g/t Au
  • GDD276: 2.8 meters at 23.2 g/t Au from 437.5 meters
  • GDD279: 6.0 meters at 11.0 g/t Au from 104.5 meters, including 1.5 meters at 40.9 g/t Au
  • GDD273: 7.2 meters at 7.8 g/t Au from 333.7 meters, including 3.0 meters at 18.2 g/t Au

These results confirm the continuity of high-grade mineralization at depth and along strike, supporting the potential for resource expansion at the OKO Project.
