Goliath has released significant drill results from its Surebet Discovery in British Columbia's Golden Triangle, reporting numerous high-grade intercepts including up to 10.83 grams per tonne gold equivalent over 22.82 meters. The company announced that accounting for silver, copper, lead, and zinc within 54 drill hole results has led to an average 13.2% increase in overall grade values compared to previously announced gold-only assays.
Remarkable Continuity and Expansion Potential
All drill holes completed to date at the Surebet Discovery have intersected gold mineralization, demonstrating remarkable continuity, grades, and widths. The extensive 1.8 square kilometer gold system includes over 1,500 pierce points within five main gold-rich zones comprising 46 mineralized lodes that remain open for expansion.
Visible gold has been identified in the majority of drill holes, with 355 out of 386 holes (92%) containing visible gold to the naked eye. During the 2025 campaign specifically, 83 out of 110 holes (76%) showed visible gold.
Three Distinct Rock Packages Identified
High-grade gold has been discovered in three distinct rock packages at Surebet:
- Gently dipping gold-rich stacked quartz-sulphide breccias and stockwork veins
- Gold-rich intermediate to felsic Eocene-aged dykes
- Recently discovered broad gold-rich zones of calc-silicate altered breccia
All mineralized rock types contain substantial amounts of visible gold, ranging from fine-grained to coarse-grained particles, and remain open for expansion. This confirms the presence of a nearby Motherlode magmatic source, a causative intrusion responsible for the extensive high-grade gold system.
Notable Drill Results
The company highlighted several exceptional drill intercepts from the 2025 campaign:
- Drill hole GD-25-337 returned two separate intervals: 10.83 g/t AuEq over 22.82 meters and 36.15 g/t AuEq over 3.08 meters from the Golden Gate Zone
- Drill hole GD-25-377 intersected 2.43 g/t AuEq over 46.90 meters from the Bonanza Zone and 9.06 g/t AuEq over 3.80 meters from the Golden Gate Zone
- Drill hole GD-25-328 returned 31.54 g/t AuEq over 3.00 meters from the Golden Gate Zone
- Drill hole GD-25-372 intersected 15.28 g/t AuEq over 6.10 meters from the Golden Gate Zone
Future Exploration Plans
Gold-equivalent assay results for 56 out of 110 drill holes completed in 2025 are pending and will be released in the immediate future. These will include multi-element analyses for silver, copper, lead, and zinc.
The fully funded 2026 drill program will primarily focus on expanding the five main mineralized zones. Data compilation and interpretation are currently underway, which will help vector in on the indicated Motherlode causative intrusive source to this extensive high-grade gold system.
The strong results received to date demonstrate the potential for Surebet to become one of the most significant gold discoveries in British Columbia's Golden Triangle in many years. The remarkable continuity, widths, and grades shown by drilling in multiple lodes indicate excellent expansion potential for this promising gold system.
