Monument Mining Unveils Additional Assay Results from Selinsing Gold Mine Expansion

Monument Mining Limited has announced the findings from an additional fifteen drill holes conducted at the Buffalo Reef and Felda areas, as part of its ongoing mine expansion drilling program at the Selinsing Gold Mine in Malaysia. The results highlight significant gold intercepts, reinforcing the potential for resource growth and extended mine life.

Drilling Program Highlights and Key Results

The Buffalo Reef/Felda Mine Expansion Drilling Program has yielded high gold assay results from the completed holes. Notable intercepts include:

  • MBRRC610: 7 meters at 2.30 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from 7 meters depth.
  • MBRRC612: 9 meters at 2.03 g/t gold from 26 meters, including 2 meters at 4.54 g/t gold from 28 meters and 3 meters at 2.75 g/t gold from 32 meters.
  • MBRDD616: Multiple intercepts, such as 9.0 meters at 1.76 g/t gold from 186.9 meters, with 3.5 meters at 1.25 g/t gold and 0.24% antimony.
  • MBRDD621: 1.5 meters at 8.59 g/t gold from 144.9 meters.

These results, particularly from the BRC2/BRC3 gap drilling, show mineralized intercepts with widths of 7 to 9 meters, indicating continuity and validating the program's objectives. It is important to note that the reported intervals are downhole lengths, and true widths will be determined after geological modeling is completed.

CEO Comments and Expansion Plans

Cathy Zhai, President and CEO of Monument Mining, expressed optimism about the findings. "Some pleasing results are starting to be returned from the BRC2/BRC3 gap drilling with downhole mineralized intercepts spanning 7-9m width and continuity between mineralized intercepts becoming evident, validating the program objectives and guiding the next round of drilling," she stated.

Ms. Zhai further emphasized the expansion drilling's goal to increase gold resources and potentially extend the life of the Selinsing Gold Mine. "We have 4 drill rigs up running now and plan to increase up to 9 drill rigs to accelerate the exploration programs," she added, highlighting the company's commitment to rapid development.

Overview of the Buffalo Reef/Felda Expansion

The Buffalo Reef/Felda mine expansion is divided into Stage 1 and Stage 2, covering a target area of 115 acres within the Selinsing gold mine expansion program. This initiative aims to evaluate the potential to extend currently defined Mineral Resources and convert them to reserves, which are currently constrained by tenement boundaries. Successful exploration could support pit expansion at Buffalo Reef/Felda and inform future life of mine planning, contingent on tenement extension.

Located in Pahang State on the Central Gold Belt of Western Malaysia, the Selinsing Gold Mine continues to be a focal point for Monument Mining's growth strategy, with these latest results underscoring its potential for significant gold production increases.
