Yukon Metals Samples Up to 250 G/T Gold in Rock and Expands Land Position at Carter Gulch, Yukon

VANCOUVER, British Columbia – Yukon Metals Corp. (CSE: YMC, FSE: E770, OTCQB: YMMCF) has announced significant high-grade gold results from its 2025 rock sampling program at the Carter Gulch Property, located approximately 40 kilometres southwest of Whitehorse, Yukon and 10 kilometres from the Alaska Highway. The company has also expanded its land position by staking 68 new claims surrounding the original area.

Highlights of the Discovery

The rock sampling program yielded impressive gold grades, with a peak result of 250 grams per tonne (g/t) gold (Au) from an oxidised quartz vein float sample. This sample, numbered 325933, also contained 41.9 parts per million (ppm) silver (Ag), 2,130 ppm copper (Cu), and 2.96% lead (Pb). Out of 27 total samples collected, nine exceeded 1 g/t gold, with an average grade of 17.8 g/t Au and a minimum of 0.00 g/t Au.

Jim Coates, Interim CEO of Yukon Metals, commented on the findings, stating, "These high-grade gold samples collected from our Carter Gulch property are an exciting start to early-stage exploration on an easily accessible property. Additional staking has allowed us to secure the core areas of known mineralization while expanding our footprint to include nearby showings. Information gathered during the sampling program will help inform our next steps, which will include additional surface sampling, detailed geological mapping, and target definition."

Details of the 2025 Rock Sampling Results

The targeted sampling focused on quartz veins and vein-related mineralization in the Carter Gulch area. The results revealed:

  • A strong multi-element association, with elevated levels of lead, zinc, copper, and pathfinder elements such as arsenic and antimony.
  • Lead values reached up to 2.96% Pb, indicating a structurally controlled gold system commonly observed in such environments.
  • Multiple samples returned multi-gram gold values, highlighting the potential for further mineralization.

The gold mineralization is associated with quartz veining and shear-related structures, suggesting promising exploration targets for future work. The expansion of the land position to 68 new claims aims to cover the core mineralization areas and adjacent showings, enhancing the company's strategic hold in the region.

Next Steps for Yukon Metals

Based on these results, Yukon Metals plans to proceed with:

  1. Additional surface sampling to further delineate gold-bearing zones.
  2. Detailed geological mapping to understand the structural controls of mineralization.
  3. Target definition for potential drilling campaigns in the future.

The Carter Gulch Property's proximity to infrastructure, such as the Alaska Highway, adds to its appeal for efficient exploration and development. This discovery underscores the ongoing potential for high-grade gold deposits in the Yukon, a region known for its rich mineral resources.
