Street Racing Crash on Trans-Canada Highway, Vehicles Impounded

West Shore RCMP reported that a street racing incident on the Trans-Canada Highway resulted in a crash and the impoundment of two vehicles. The incident occurred just before 7:30 p.m. on Saturday near the 1900 block of the Trans-Canada Highway in View Royal.

According to police, a 2002 Ford Ranger rolled over multiple times before coming to a stop on a median. The driver of the Ford Ranger was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The other vehicle involved, a 2018 Honda Civic, was also impounded.

RCMP described the behavior as reckless and reminded the public that street racing is illegal and dangerous. The investigation is ongoing, and charges are pending.
