New TTC Express Route to Pearson Airport Launches in 2026
TTC 2026 Service Changes: New Airport Express Bus

Toronto transit users are set to receive a significant upgrade to airport connectivity in 2026 with the introduction of a new express bus route directly serving Pearson International Airport. The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) has unveiled a series of service adjustments, with the headline change being the launch of the 906 Airport-Humber College Express.

New Express Route Connects Key Hubs

The new express service will operate between Humberwood Loop and Viscount Station at Toronto Pearson International Airport. This route is designed to provide a faster, more direct link for passengers traveling to and from the airport, Humber College, and connecting transit lines.

The 906 will offer crucial connections to the Humber College Bus Terminal and the Humber College Station on the new Line 6 Finch West. From Viscount Station, riders can seamlessly transfer to the Terminal Link Train to reach the airport terminals, the UP Express, and other regional transit services.

Route Details and Service Frequency

The express bus will follow a designated path through several major arteries. The route will travel via Humberwood Boulevard, Humberline Drive, Humber College Boulevard, Highway 27, Dixon Road, Airport Road, Bresler Drive, Campus Road, Viscount Road, and American Drive.

A key feature of the new service is its consistent schedule. Buses will arrive every 15 minutes during all time periods, both on weekdays and weekends, offering reliable and frequent service for shift workers, students, and travelers alike.

Adjustments to Existing Routes

The introduction of the 906 Express necessitates changes to other TTC services. Most notably, short trips on the 37S Islington branch (between Humberwood Loop and Humber College) will be discontinued in all time periods, as their function is absorbed by the new express route.

Additional adjustments include:

  • 37 Islington Service: Late evening Saturday service will be adjusted to better align with the end of subway service on Line 2 Bloor-Danforth. An extra trip on the 37A Islington route, departing Islington Station at 2:20 a.m., will be added.
  • Travel Times: Schedules for the 37 Islington and 110 Islington South buses will be modified at Islington Station to improve overall service reliability.
  • Finch West Shuttle: With the start of the 906, the Line 6 Finch West Shuttle Bus service will be adjusted nightly. All shuttle buses will now end their service at the Humber College Bus Terminal.
  • Overnight Service: The 336 Finch West overnight bus will be adjusted to stop at Humberwood Loop (Stop ID #11289) in the southbound direction to improve neighborhood accessibility.
  • Route Renumbering: The 302 Kingston Rd-McCowan overnight bus will be renumbered as the 316 Kingston Rd-McCowan to align with its corresponding daytime route.

Improved Transit for a Growing City

These comprehensive service changes, slated for 2026, represent a strategic move by the TTC to streamline its network and enhance connectivity to critical infrastructure like Pearson Airport and major educational institutions. The dedicated express service aims to reduce travel times and provide a more efficient public transit option for airport-bound passengers and the communities along its route.
