Jack Pridham Commits to University of Denver After Historic Season

Kitchener Rangers forward Jack Pridham, coming off a historic season that included a Memorial Cup appearance, has committed to the University of Denver for his NCAA career. The announcement was made on Saturday, June 7, 2026, by the Rangers organization.

A Breakout Season

Pridham, 19, was a key contributor for the Rangers during the 2025-26 season, helping the team reach the Memorial Cup tournament for the first time since 2008. He recorded 32 goals and 45 assists for 77 points in 68 regular-season games, leading the team in scoring. His performance earned him a spot on the OHL's Second All-Star Team.

Memorial Cup Heroics

In the Memorial Cup, Pridham continued to shine, scoring four goals and adding three assists in four games. Despite the Rangers' elimination in the semifinals, Pridham's efforts were widely praised by scouts and analysts.

Commitment to Denver

Pridham will join the University of Denver Pioneers, a perennial NCAA powerhouse. Denver has won nine national championships, including titles in 2022 and 2024. Pridham is expected to make an immediate impact with his offensive skills and hockey IQ.

“Jack is a dynamic player who can change the game with his speed and skill,” said Denver head coach David Carle. “We are thrilled to welcome him to our program and look forward to his development.”

Reaction from the Rangers

Kitchener Rangers general manager Mike McKenzie expressed pride in Pridham's journey. “Jack has been a tremendous player for us, and we are excited to see him take this next step. The University of Denver is getting a great player and an even better person.”

Pridham is expected to join the Pioneers for the 2026-27 season. His departure leaves a void in the Rangers' lineup, but the team is optimistic about its future.
