Lunchbox Theatre Relocates to Southwest Arts Hub in Marda Loop
Lunchbox Theatre Moves to Marda Loop Arts Hub

Lunchbox Theatre is moving. After decades in downtown Calgary, the beloved theatre company is relocating to the southwest arts community of Marda Loop for its 52nd season. Its new home will be at cSPACE, the artist co-operative space located in the historic King Edward School building at 1721 29th Avenue S.W.

A New Chapter in Marda Loop

Artistic director Bronwyn Steinberg expressed excitement about the move: "To be surrounded by a community of artists in a neighbourhood that has been so welcoming and enthusiastic is a dream come true." The relocation positions Lunchbox within a vibrant creative hub, fostering collaboration and accessibility.

Season Highlights

Lunchbox will present five plays for its 52nd season, all written, adapted, developed, or performed by local Calgary artists. Three of the productions have previously been staged in Calgary.
