Melanie Auld Jewelry has unveiled a new custom jewelry experience called Pietra at its flagship boutique in Vancouver's Kitsilano neighborhood. This interactive pop-up allows customers to design their own unique necklaces or bracelets using a selection of semi-precious gemstones and charms.
What is the Pietra Experience?
The Pietra experience begins with choosing a silken cord base for a necklace or bracelet, available in several colors. Customers then select from a variety of semi-precious gemstone beads and charms to create a personalized piece. Bracelets are priced between $50 and $80, while necklaces range from $65 to $235, depending on the number of beads and charms chosen.
According to the designer, Melanie Auld, the experience offers a modern souvenir that feels personal and memorable. It is an ideal activity to book with friends, family, or as a Mother's Day treat. Participants leave with their own custom creation, making it a truly unique offering.
Gemstone Selection and Properties
The gemstone beads available include amethyst, watermelon quartz, and many others. Each stone is associated with specific properties, such as Tiger's Eye for confidence, courage, and clarity, and turquoise for protection, wisdom, and good luck. A sign at the jewelry-building stations outlines these properties, inviting customers to build a piece that feels intentional and uniquely theirs.
"Every stone carries its own energy," Auld notes, emphasizing the personal and intentional nature of the experience.
Exclusive to Vancouver (For Now)
Currently, the Pietra Experience is available exclusively at the Melanie Auld Jewelry boutique located at 2077 West 4th Avenue in Vancouver. However, there are plans to potentially expand the experience to the brand's Toronto location in the future.
