Myers is not alone in being honored this year. The Canadian Screen Awards will present three additional special awards to other outstanding contributors:
- Maxine Bailey, Executive Director of the Canadian Film Centre, receives the Changemaker Award for her efforts in advancing equity, inclusion, and systemic change within the industry.
- Hazel Mae, a seasoned Sportsnet broadcaster, is awarded the Gordon Sinclair Award for Broadcast Journalism, recognizing her exceptional body of work and expertise in Major League Baseball coverage.
- The film Mile End Kicks, a romantic comedy directed by Chandler Levack, earns the Sustainable Production Award for its leadership and innovation in environmentally friendly filmmaking practices.

All four special awards will be presented during Canadian Screen Week, scheduled to take place in Toronto from May 27 to 31. The full list of award nominations for other categories will be announced on March 25, building anticipation for the event that celebrates the best in Canadian screen media.
