Sean 'Diddy' Combs remains incarcerated, but that has not stopped him from drawing attention, this time over an alleged sex tape. The video reportedly features the music producer, porn star Sly Diggler, and model Daphne Joy, who is the mother of 50 Cent's youngest son, 13-year-old Sire.
It is unclear who posted the explicit footage online early Sunday, but DJ Vlad claimed on social media that he verified the tape is legitimate. On his YouTube channel, Vlad recounted a previous interview with Diggler, who said Diddy grabbed the actor's phone and recorded the entire sexual encounter.
50 Cent's Response
50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, has spoken out in a pair of social media posts. In one, he emphasized that his son is the real victim. Responding to a report where social media users discussed the nearly 40-minute alleged video, the rapper-actor wrote: 'She's not a victim, SIRE is. Can you imagine going to eighth grade to find out this is your mom?'
He added: 'The court system in LA thinks it's fine.' Jackson has another son, Marquise, 29, with ex-girlfriend Shaniqua Tompkins.
In another post, 50 shifted attention back to Diddy with a sarcastic remark: 'Free Diddy, he has gone through enough being born with no penis. LOL,' he wrote alongside a laughing emoji.
Joy's Statement
Joy posted and then deleted a lengthy statement on Instagram, claiming she did not consent to being filmed. According to The Shaderoom, she called the footage 'triggering and painful.'
'The recent leak was a tape I never consented to being filmed on,' she wrote. 'I was blackmailed by the person in the video and was threatened that if I didn't give him a lump sum of money, they would leak it on the web.'
She claimed a 'giant media outlet' bought the tape years ago but refused to post it after she informed them it was part of a 'revenge porn' and 'extortion scheme.' Now, years later, it has surfaced online.
'It took me all day to find the courage to rewatch my abuse,' Joy wrote. 'Having to watch this tape was triggering and painful because only I knew the inner turmoil and pressures I felt in those moments.'
Ongoing Feud with Diddy
The alleged sex tape release comes months after the Netflix documentary Sean Combs: The Reckoning, which was produced by 50 Cent. A spokesperson for Diddy called it a 'shameful hit piece' and said it was 'shocking' that Netflix 'gave creative control' to 'a longtime public adversary who has a personal vendetta against Mr. Combs.'
Jackson appeared on Good Morning America to defend the documentary. 'If I didn't say anything, you would interpret it as 'hip hop is fine with his behaviors,'' he told Robin Roberts. 'There's no one else being vocal. So, you would look at it and just say … 'mind your business,' or 'let me not say nothing about nothing,' or those things that would allow an entire culture to register as if they're for that behavior.'
