Bill Gates Denies Epstein's Allegations in Newly Released DOJ Documents
Bill Gates has publicly addressed the allegations made about him in the latest batch of files released by the Department of Justice concerning Jeffrey Epstein. In a recent interview, Gates stated he is "one of many people who regret ever knowing" the late sex predator, emphasizing his remorse over their association.
Epstein's Claims in DOJ Documents
The materials uploaded to the DOJ's website last week include draft emails written by Epstein in 2013 to himself. One email alleges that Epstein helped Bill Gates obtain medication to treat a sexually transmitted infection, which Gates purportedly contracted from having "sex with Russian girls." The disgraced financier also claimed he facilitated the Microsoft co-founder's "illicit trysts with married women."
In a separate email, Epstein asserted that Gates attempted to secretly give his then-wife, Melinda French Gates, antibiotics for an STI. The email reads, "TO add insult to the injury you then subsequently with tears in your eyes, implore me to please delete the emails regarding your std, your request that I provide you antibiotics that you can surreptitiously give to Melinda, and the description of your penis."
Gates' Response and Denial
In an interview with Australia's Nine News released Wednesday, Gates firmly denied these allegations. He said, "Apparently Jeffrey wrote an email to himself. That email was never sent. The email is false, so I don't know what his thinking was there." It remains unclear which specific email Gates was referring to in his statement.
Gates added, "Every minute I spent with him, I regret, and I apologize that I did that." He reflected on their meetings, noting that they began in 2011, years after Epstein served jail time for soliciting prostitution from a minor. Gates explained, "The focus was always, he knew a lot of very rich people, and he was saying he could get them to give money to global health. You know, in retrospect, that was a dead end, and I was foolish to spend time with him."
It is important to note that Gates has not been accused of any wrongdoing in connection with Epstein.
Melinda French Gates' Perspective
Melinda French Gates, Gates' ex-wife, has also commented on the situation, stating that her ex-husband still has questions to answer about his ties to Epstein. In an interview on NPR's "Wild Card" podcast, she expressed her distress, saying, "It's beyond heartbreaking, right? I remember being those ages those girls were. I remember my daughters being those ages. So for me, it's personally hard whenever those details come up, right, because it brings back memories of some very, very painful times in my marriage."
She continued, "Whatever questions remain there of what I don't — can't even begin to know all of it — those questions are for those people and for even my ex-husband." Her remarks highlight the emotional impact of the ongoing revelations and the personal toll it has taken on their family.
This development adds another layer to the complex legacy of Jeffrey Epstein and his connections with high-profile individuals, as the public continues to scrutinize the details emerging from official documents.
