Elijah Wood, best known for playing Frodo Baggins in the Lord of the Rings trilogy, recently stopped by Thank You Pizza in Vancouver's Chinatown. The actor is in the city filming the fourth and final season of the Showtime series Yellowjackets.
Pizza Stop in Chinatown
Thank You Pizza, a counter-service concept operating out of Hunnybee Bruncheonette on Gore Street, shared the news on Instagram with the caption: “Thanks for stopping by!!!!!” The post featured a photo of Wood at the pizzeria.
Wood has been in Metro Vancouver since late February working on Yellowjackets, where he plays Walter Tattersall, a wealthy citizen detective. Production is scheduled to wrap on July 30.
Previous Vancouver Visits
Earlier this year, Wood attended Fan Expo Vancouver and was seen dining at Vij’s restaurant with fellow Lord of the Rings cast members Sean Astin, Billy Boyd, and Dominic Monaghan. The group enjoyed a meal together on Valentine’s Day.
Thank You Pizza has become a popular spot in the area, and Wood’s visit adds to its growing list of celebrity patrons.
