Congratulations are in order for Kaley Cuoco and Tom Pelphrey as the couple is expecting a second child.
The actors announced the news Wednesday on Instagram with Cuoco writing, “Completing our little family, what a dream come true! This second time around journey has been a little windier in many ways, but wow we are so grateful for this moment!!”
The Flight Attendant actress, who has been engaged to the Ozark actor since August 2024, welcomed daughter Matilda three years ago. In the Instagram post, the 40-year-old revealed that the couple is expecting another girl.
Actress shows baby’s sonogram
The carousel of photos included one showing the family of three posing with a sprinkle-covered gender-reveal cake, which had a pink centre, and several shots of the Big Bang Theory alum showing off her baby bump. It also included a sonogram of their baby, which the actress joked was “giving us the middle finger.”
Pelphrey, 43, also posted the same image on his Instagram post, stating, “Doc gave her a little prod for the pic and this was her immediate response…. definitely my child.”
Cuoco’s Big Bang co-stars Simon Helberg and Melissa Rauch were among the celebrities who reacted to her post, congratulating the couple on the exciting news.
Couple engaged since 2024
Cuoco and Pelphrey announced their engagement in August 2024, a year after the birth of their daughter Matilda and two years after they first met. Their engagement came as a surprise as the actress said she would never marry again after her divorce to Karl Cook. She was also previously married to tennis player Ryan Sweeting.
Speaking to USA Today, Cuoco said was introduced to Pelphrey through their manager Andrea Pett-Joseph. The actress recalled their heart-stopping meeting at an Ozark premiere.
“I heard his voice, and I turned around, and it was like my life was over, or just starting. It hit me. It was love at first sight,” she told USA Today. “We were immediately connected. I do feel like I’ve known him my whole life, but I wasn’t ready for him. We’re ready to build a life together.”
