Lydic Mocks Trump Over NBA Booing, Epstein Files

Desi Lydic, a correspondent for The Daily Show, took aim at President Donald Trump after he claimed the relentless booing he received at Monday night's NBA Finals game was mostly cheers. Trump, who attended the game in New York, was met with loud boos from the crowd, but he later told reporters that the reaction was largely positive.

Lydic's Response

Do you know what it means to have every single person in New York booing you? Lydic asked. Even a guy taking a shit on the subway will have one New Yorker cheering him on. She added, All that incessant booing, he must have been devastated.

Trump's Defense

It was certainly amazing. It was, I think, mostly cheers, Trump said outside Air Force One after the game. Lydic then brought up one of the president's least favorite subjects: the Epstein Files. I guess the DOJ redacted all the boos before they hit his ears, she said.

A Jab at Trump's Energy

Lydic also couldn't resist taking a jab at how energetic Trump was during the game. But whether you like that Trump was there or not, he is a lifelong Knicks fan, so he wasn't going to let some haters stop him from enjoying every second of the game, Lydic said before playing a news clip claiming Trump appeared to fall asleep. Sir, you can't sleep through the game! Lydic said. You're the president, not Game 3 referee Marc Davis.
