Seth Meyers Exposes Trump's Dog Insults After Epstein Email Reveal
Meyers on Trump's Dog Insults After Epstein Email

In a scathing segment on his Wednesday night show, Late Night host Seth Meyers turned his comedic focus to a newly released email from the late financier Jeffrey Epstein, drawing a direct line to former President Donald Trump's frequent use of canine comparisons.

The Damning Epstein Email

Meyers highlighted one of three explosive emails released by House Democrats, which was written by Epstein in 2011 to his associate, Ghislaine Maxwell. In the correspondence, Epstein stated that he wanted Maxwell to 'realize' that the 'dog that hasn't barked is Trump.' Meyers labeled this description as both 'damning' and an 'insult' to the former president, but not for the reasons one might initially think.

'Because Trump fucking hates dogs!' the host emphatically declared, setting up the premise for his following commentary.

Trump's History of Canine Insults

To support his claim, Meyers played a supercut showcasing Trump's long-standing habit of hurling dog-themed insults at his political opponents and critics.

The montage included a clip from a 2016 rally in Denver, where Trump said of Hillary Clinton, 'She lied like a dog!' In a 2020 interview on Fox News, he remarked about a former official, 'He was fired — like a dog, he was fired.' More recently, at a 2024 rally in North Carolina, Trump appeared to reference his then-opponent Kamala Harris by saying, 'She basically choked and froze like a dog.'

Meyers interjected with his own logical takedown of the comparisons. 'Dogs don't choke, they don't tell lies and they don't get fired,' he stated. He continued the bit by humorously noting, 'Even when a dog has a job, like sniffing for drugs at the airport, if they're bad at it you just replace them. You don't sit 'em down and say, 'Sorry Rex, it's just not working out!''

From Barking to Growling

The host didn't stop at barking. Meyers argued that Trump also 'growls,' before cutting to a picture of the former president speaking during a 2019 Oval Office meeting.

'I mean look at him, he looks like he should be on the White House lawn snarling at a mailman,' Meyers quipped, capping off the segment with his signature blend of visual comedy and political critique.

The monologue served as a sharp piece of political satire, using the newly unveiled Epstein documents to frame a broader commentary on Trump's rhetorical style and public persona.
