Rob Schneider Demands ABC Fire Jimmy Kimmel Over Melania Trump Joke
Schneider Demands ABC Fire Kimmel Over Melania Joke

It's not a laughing matter: MAGA-supporting comedian Rob Schneider wants ABC to fire Jimmy Kimmel for making jokes.

The former "SNL" cast member apparently didn't like it when Kimmel joked last week that Melania Trump has "a glow like an expectant widow," a joke that was made well before Saturday's shooting at the White House Correspondents' Dinner.

On Monday, two days after the shooting, the first lady demanded Kimmel's ouster. Schneider, a former "SNL" cast member, agreed with the first lady and took to X on Wednesday to post an open and very long letter to Walt Disney Company CEO Josh D'Amaro.

In his diatribe, Schneider called for Kimmel to be canned for "a pattern of reckless, dehumanizing rhetoric that disrespects human life and contributes to the toxic climate of hatred and violence threatening our nation."

Schneider also claimed "keeping Mr. Kimmel on your network" represents "a serious and dangerous mistake that reflects poorly on Disney's values and leadership."

After comparing the Melania joke with Kimmel's previous edgy jokes about Charlie Kirk after his death, the man who gave the world "Deuce Bigelow: European Gigolo" declared, "This is not comedy."

Instead, Schneider said Kimmel's comments were "the kind of dehumanizing language that lowers the threshold for violence."

He added: "When a major network platform repeatedly portrays the President, his family, and his supporters as legitimate targets for contempt, or worse, violence, it does not entertain; it incites."

Schneider said the Disney Company's "platforming" of "an individual who has shown such blatant contempt for basic human decency" allows "that legacy to be stained."

Schneider ended his message by declaring that "the eyes of the nation — and history — are watching."

Sadly for Schneider, the eyes of X users saw his post — and found it laughable.

One user wrote: "Imagine being Rob Schneider and thinking anyone at The Walt Disney Company gives a shit about what you have to say about Jimmy Kimmel—or anything, for that matter."

Another pointed out Schneider's hypocrisy: "He sells—or tries to sell—t-shirts at his shows that read: 'Free speech is all speech! The nice stuff doesn't need protection. It's the speech you DON'T like that does!'"

Critics also noted that Schneider limited comments on his post, with one saying: "Haha only pussies limit comments."

Another user remarked: "MAGA @RobSchneider continues to ignore/make excuses for all the things cunt @realDonaldTrump says, including celebrating the deaths of his critics. But, turn into whiny hypocritical snowflakes when it comes to Kimmel's jokes."

Schneider likely intended to come across as a principled statesman in his post, but a simple Google search suggests beef more personal than political.

Back in March, Schneider declared on Bill O'Reilly's podcast that Kimmel has been "deballed by his wife," Molly McNearney — also the co-head writer for Kimmel's show — and claimed she has "completely ruined him."

He also insisted that "liberal women who have lost their minds are controlling these men, and these guys have no more balls."
