The fireworks will take place on Saturday evenings at 10 p.m., with an additional show on Wednesday, July 1 for Canada Day. The season kicks off on June 27 with a presentation by the host nation, Canada. Subsequent shows include teams from Italy on July 4, the United States on July 8 (Canada Day show), Spain on July 11, Portugal on July 18, China on July 22, Germany on July 25, Australia on July 29, and France on August 1. The competition concludes on August 5 with the grand finale, featuring the winner of the previous year's competition.

Spectators can watch from inside La Ronde for a fee, or from free public viewing areas along the Jacques-Cartier Bridge and the Old Port of Montreal. The shows are synchronized to music broadcast on a local radio station. The event is one of the largest fireworks competitions in the world, drawing hundreds of thousands of visitors annually.
