For the first time in Western Canada, the globally renowned Italian coffee brand Lavazza is launching a festive holiday café experience in Calgary. The activation marks Lavazza's first consumer-focused event in the region and represents a significant expansion of the brand's Canadian presence.
Festive Details and Location
The Lavazza Holiday Café is operating at the Spruce Meadows International Christmas Market presented by TELUS across three weekends in November: November 14-16, 21-23, and 28-30. This popular annual event traditionally draws thousands of visitors to celebrate the holiday season through food, crafts, and cultural activities.
Visitors to the Lavazza pop-up café will receive a complimentary cup of the brand's limited-edition Spiced Mulled Brew. This special holiday beverage features Lavazza's drip coffee infused with Giffard cinnamon syrup and is finished with a dehydrated orange slice and cinnamon stick. Guests will also receive an exclusive Lavazza holiday card created specifically for this year's market.
Lavazza's Growing Canadian Presence
According to Daniele Foti, Vice President of Marketing for Lavazza North America, the holiday activation aligns with the brand's core values. "The holidays are about connection, warmth, and shared moments, which are values that have always defined Lavazza," Foti stated. "We're proud to celebrate that spirit in Calgary for the first time with an in-person activation that brings people together through coffee and continues our mission to create meaningful experiences that unite communities across Canada."
The Calgary holiday café follows a year of high-profile partnerships for Lavazza across Canada, including activations at the Lavazza IncluCity Festival, Toronto International Film Festival, Montreal International Jazz Festival, and the launch of a four-year partnership with George Brown College. These initiatives reflect Lavazza's ongoing investment in creating meaningful experiences for Canadians and using coffee as a catalyst for creativity and community engagement nationwide.
