Greek Day on Broadway
Organized by the Hellenic Canadian Congress of B.C., Greek Day expects over 100,000 attendees this year. According to event coordinator Maria Karavokyris, “Greek Day is a celebration of our heritage and a chance for everyone to experience the warmth of Greek hospitality.” Street closures will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Sunday.
Music and Concerts
On Saturday, June 27, the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra performs at the Chan Centre for the Performing Arts at 7:30 p.m., featuring works by Beethoven and Tchaikovsky. Tickets range from $25 to $75. Meanwhile, the Commodore Ballroom hosts indie rock band The Zolas on Friday and Saturday night, with doors opening at 7 p.m.
Sports Matches
The Vancouver Canadians baseball team plays a three-game series against the Spokane Indians at Nat Bailey Stadium, with games Friday at 7:05 p.m., Saturday at 1:05 p.m., and Sunday at 1:05 p.m. Tickets start at $15.
