Sarah McLachlan Launches Lilith Pendant with Vancouver Jewelry Brand
Sarah McLachlan has partnered with the Vancouver-based jewelry company Pyrrha to introduce a special limited-edition pendant. This unique collaboration celebrates female empowerment, music, and the enduring legacy of the Lilith Fair music festival.
Celebrating Music and Empowerment
The launch event took place at Pyrrha's Vancouver headquarters, where McLachlan witnessed a moving performance by two students from the Sarah McLachlan School of Music. The students, named Prince and Nirvana, delivered a powerful rendition of Shallow by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper, highlighting the transformative impact of their musical education.
Nirvana shared heartfelt sentiments about the school, stating, "The impact of the community is really there, and it's really long lasting." This event not only honored the School of Music, which has locations in Vancouver, Edmonton, and New Westminster, but also marked the debut of the exclusive jewelry piece.
The Lilith Talisman Design
The Pyrrha x Sarah McLachlan Lilith Talisman features a central female figure, symbolizing feminine independence, strength, and the courage to stand fully in one's own power, according to McLachlan. Available in two versions, it includes a 100% reclaimed sterling silver option priced at $400 (without chain) and a solid gold version with pricing available upon request.
Proceeds from sales directly support the Sarah McLachlan School of Music, with $100 from each silver pendant and $1,000 from each gold pendant donated to the institution. This initiative continues McLachlan's commitment to music education, a cause she has championed for years.
Honoring Lilith Fair Legacy
The pendant is named in tribute to Lilith Fair, the groundbreaking summer music festival founded by McLachlan in 1997, which showcased female performers and fostered a sense of community. McLachlan noted that the success of Lilith Fair provided crucial funding for the early years of her music school, making this collaboration a full-circle moment.
Reflecting on the design's message, McLachlan explained, "These ideals were at the heart of Lilith Fair, and they continue to resonate, of course, here in 2026 perhaps more than ever. What I love most about this collaboration with Pyrrha is that this piece captures that spirit and something you can wear and carry with you, a reminder of our individual and collective power, of what we can achieve when we work together, when we lift each other up and support each other."
Timing and Purpose
Released during International Women's Month, the pendant's launch was intentionally timed to align with a period dedicated to celebrating women's achievements and creativity. McLachlan emphasized that this collaboration serves as a tangible symbol of empowerment, allowing wearers to carry a piece of this inspiring legacy with them daily.
This project underscores McLachlan's ongoing dedication to blending art with activism, supporting both musical talent and female empowerment through innovative partnerships in the jewelry and fashion industries.
