Candace Owens Apologizes to Hunter Biden for Past Mockery
Candace Owens Apologizes to Hunter Biden

Conservative podcaster Candace Owens offered a sincere apology to Hunter Biden, the son of former President Joe Biden, expressing regret for her part in the scandal surrounding his drug addiction and laptop. During the Thursday episode of her show, Owens told Biden, "I feel like I have to say, like, I'm really sorry that I contributed to that. Like I just feel really shitty. Like, I feel guilty because, like, hearing you talk about I mean, basically, having the worst moments of your life."

Owens' Shift from MAGA Influence

Owens is among a group of former MAGA influencers who have distanced themselves from President Donald Trump as his poll numbers declined due to the Iran war and rising costs of living. Owens, who once called Biden a "DEGENERATE THAT SHOULD BE IN PRISON," has faced scrutiny for outrageous statements and conspiracy theories. She previously accused France's first lady of being a transgender woman grooming her husband and claimed conservative podcaster Charlie Kirk's assassination was an "inside job."

Hunter Biden's Perspective

On the podcast, Biden opened up about his recovery and the scandals during his addiction struggles. He expressed annoyance with conservative media that pushed stories about his damaged laptop, which mostly contained embarrassing personal material. Biden stated, "I have immense gratitude for all of my life," including the bad things. "I wouldn't be here, we couldn't have this honest conversation, I couldn't get to know you as a human being if every single thing didn't occur behind it."

Owens' Reflection and Apology

Owens admitted she previously viewed Biden "as a caricature" because she felt "gaslit by the political machine." She said she has "come a long way from that in general." Owens elaborated, "I did partake in just the inhumanity of just, 'Look at this guy, at the worst moment of his life, like, with prostitutes, he's on crack, he's on drugs, and we should make fun of him because it makes us feel good or it makes us feel like we're somehow beating the machine.' And that, it was, I think a really warped viewpoint, and hearing you speak about it today, I'm just like, wow that is so gross that I partook."

Emotional Response from Biden

Biden became emotional after Owens' apology. He said, "For you to say that to me, I truly mean it just from a purely selfish point of view. It means the world. And I didn't, I truly didn't come here for that."
