Levetem, a new body care brand based in Vancouver, draws inspiration from the natural beauty of Canada's West Coast. Founded by Ena Mameni and Peggy Chang, two seasoned professionals in the skincare and brand-building industries, the line redefines luxury as time well spent in nature.
Brand Philosophy and Origins
Mameni and Chang met after years of working in the beauty industry from different perspectives. Mameni built formulation expertise at L'Oréal and Estée Lauder, while Chang advised global companies on design and customer experience. They shared a conviction that body care deserved the same rigor as facial skincare. The brand's sensibility comes from the West Coast, where Mameni, originally from the Mediterranean, settled along the Pacific. She describes luxury not as indulgence but as intentional choices that nourish and empower.
Product Development
Levetem focuses on “practical modern essentials”: fewer, better, science-backed products. All formulas are vegan, certified cruelty-free, and free from parabens, SLS, mineral oils, palm oil, phthalates, formaldehyde-releasing agents, and synthetic fragrances. Their first product, the Body Exfoliating Spray, addresses the inconvenience of traditional exfoliation. It is a leave-on spray that requires no rinsing or scrubbing, absorbing quickly without residue. Key ingredients include red seaweed from British Columbia, a 10% AHA duo (glycolic and lactic acids) at pH 3.5, hyaluronic acid, aloe vera, and skin-identical ceramides. The bottle is made from 100% post-consumer recycled plastic.
Target Audience and Pricing
The brand targets anyone seeking effective, low-effort body care for all skin types and genders. It addresses rough texture, ingrown hairs, keratosis pilaris, and uneven skin. The Exfoliating Spray retails for $72 for 150 ml. More information is available at levetem.com or on Instagram at @levetemofficial.
