Netanyahu reveals early-stage prostate cancer treated

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu revealed on Friday that he underwent successful treatment for a very early-stage malignant tumor in his prostate and has fully recovered. The 76-year-old leader shared the news on social media, emphasizing his excellent physical condition.

Netanyahu's Health Update

In a post on X, Netanyahu wrote: "Today, my annual medical report was published. I requested to delay its publication by two months so that it would not be released at the height of the war, in order not to allow the Iranian terror regime to spread even more false propaganda against Israel." He added: "I ask to share with you three things: 1. Thank God, I am healthy. 2. I am in excellent physical condition. 3. I had a minor medical issue with my prostate that was completely treated. Thank God, it's behind me."

Netanyahu explained that a year and a half ago, he underwent surgery for an enlarged benign prostate and has been under routine monitoring. During a recent check, doctors discovered a tiny spot less than a centimeter in size. Upon examination, it was identified as a very early-stage malignant tumor with no spread or metastases.

Treatment and Recovery

Doctors informed Netanyahu that the condition is common among men his age and offered options of monitoring or treatment. Known for his proactive approach, Netanyahu chose immediate intervention. He underwent targeted treatment that removed the problem entirely, leaving no trace. "I went to a few short treatments, read a book, and continued working. The spot disappeared completely," he said.

The prime minister thanked the medical teams at Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem and urged Israelis to prioritize their health. "From you, citizens of Israel, I have only one request: Take care of your health. Get checked, and follow the doctors' instructions," he wrote. He concluded with a message of peace and healing for the nation.
