Ontario Provincial Police have laid impaired driving charges against a driver in Leamington following a report of a suspicious vehicle. The incident occurred on June 11, when officers responded to a call about a vehicle behaving erratically in the area.
Police Investigation
Upon arrival, police located the vehicle and conducted an investigation. The driver was subsequently arrested and charged with operation while impaired by alcohol and drugs, as well as other related offences.
The accused is scheduled to appear in court at a later date. The OPP remind the public that impaired driving remains a leading cause of fatal collisions in Ontario and urge anyone who suspects impaired driving to call 9-1-1 immediately.
