Edmonton police are seeking the public's assistance to identify a suspect in connection with an arson that damaged the exterior of a business in central Edmonton in early May.

On May 10, 2026, at approximately 7:30 a.m., police responded to reports of a fire at a business located near 91 Street and 111 Avenue. The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) reported that the fire was confined to the building's exterior. Investigators determined the blaze was deliberately set, and surveillance footage captured a male suspect at the scene.

Suspect description

The suspect was seen wearing a black Adidas sweater, blue jeans, and Adidas running shoes. He was riding an orange Marin mountain bike towing a small blue trailer.

Detective Rogatien Bourque of the investigative response team expressed concern about the incident, stating, "These types of events are troubling, especially with other commercial and residential buildings in close proximity. If you have any information that can help us with our investigation, please contact police immediately."
