A 39-year-old Oshawa man has been charged following a three-vehicle crash on Monday that left a motorcyclist with life-altering injuries. The incident occurred around 10 a.m. at the intersection of Park Road and King Street in Oshawa.
Details of the Crash
According to Durham Regional Police, a Nissan SUV and a Triumph motorcycle were stopped at the intersection when a Dodge Journey collided with both vehicles from behind. The Dodge Journey then continued through the intersection and crashed into a Harvey’s restaurant at the northeast corner.
The motorcyclist, a 69-year-old man, sustained life-altering injuries but has since been upgraded to stable condition. The driver of the Nissan, a 45-year-old man, and his two passengers—ages 15 and 7—were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries. No pedestrians were injured.
Charges Laid
Police arrested Timothy Eugene Wilson, 39, of Oshawa, at the scene without incident. He has been charged with dangerous operation causing bodily harm, driving while under suspension, and breach of probation. Wilson was held for a bail hearing.

Separate Crash in Whitby
In a related incident, a 24-year-old motorcyclist suffered serious life-altering injuries following a crash in Whitby on Wednesday. Police responded to the area of Taunton and Thickson Roads around 12:10 a.m. A Yamaha motorcycle was eastbound on Taunton when it collided with a westbound Honda sedan turning left at the intersection.
The 21-year-old male driver of the Honda and two other occupants were uninjured. The motorcyclist was transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre with serious injuries and remains in stable condition.
