Calgary police are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying a suspect connected to a series of three sexual assaults that have occurred in Fish Creek Park over the past two months.

Details of the Incidents

The most recent incident took place on May 23 at approximately 2:30 p.m., when a female jogger reported being sexually assaulted near the Sue Higgins Bridge and Mallard Point. The suspect is believed to have approached the victim from behind while riding a black BMX bike.

Suspect Description

Authorities describe the suspect as a light-skinned male in his late teens, standing roughly six feet tall. He has short, shaggy blond hair and was last seen wearing blue jeans and a black hoodie with a colorful graphic on the side.

Police suspect this incident is linked to two other sexual assaults that occurred in the same park on April 20. On that day, at around 5:30 p.m., a female jogger reported being sexually assaulted near Mallard Point by a man riding an e-scooter. The suspect was observed heading toward Douglasdale on the e-scooter.

“It is believed the man had been observing the woman near the on-site bathrooms before the incident occurred,” Calgary police stated in a press release on April 27.

Police believe the same man may have sexually assaulted another woman in the park approximately 20 minutes earlier. In that incident, the suspect was described as wearing black pants, a red sweatshirt with the hood pulled up, and a white backpack with colorful spots. He was also reportedly playing music from a speaker while riding the e-scooter.
