An 18-year-old man from Vaudreuil-Dorion saw his Saturday night take a drastic turn on December 20, 2025. According to the Sûreté du Québec (SQ), officers pulled the teen over while he was driving on Côte St-Charles road in the municipality of St-Lazare. The reason for the stop was an extreme violation of the speed limit.
The SQ reported that the driver was clocked travelling at a staggering 134 kilometres per hour in a zone clearly marked for 50 km/h. This means the teenager was operating his vehicle at a speed 84 km/h above the legal limit, a dangerous act that immediately drew police intervention.
