The Bahamas Celebrates Romance Week and Hosts International Love Conference
Bahamas Romance Week and Love Conference Return

The Bahamas is positioning itself as the ultimate destination for romantic experiences this February with the return of two significant initiatives. The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism, Investments & Aviation, in collaboration with the Bahamas Bridal Association, has announced the revival of Romance Week and the fourth annual From The Bahamas with Love conference.

Romance Week Invites Couples to Celebrate Love

Running from February 8th to 14th, Romance Week encourages couples to explore why The Bahamas remains one of the world's most cherished locations for romantic getaways. The archipelago's 16 unique islands offer diverse experiences for every stage of a relationship, from intimate escapes and surprise proposals to elaborate destination weddings, honeymoons, and milestone anniversary celebrations.

Latia Duncombe, Director General of the Ministry, emphasized that The Bahamas provides opportunities for couples to commemorate every chapter of their love story. "The Bahamas is a destination for a lifetime of love," Duncombe stated. "Across our islands, couples can celebrate every chapter of their journey, from first escapes and engagements to weddings, honeymoons and milestone anniversaries. This depth of experience continues to set The Bahamas apart as a leading romance destination."

International Recognition for Romantic Excellence

The destination's reputation as a premier romantic getaway has been consistently validated through international accolades. The World Travel Awards have repeatedly honored The Bahamas for excellence in weddings and honeymoons, reinforcing its status as a top choice for couples seeking memorable experiences.

From The Bahamas with Love Conference Returns

Later in February, the romantic focus shifts to the From The Bahamas with Love conference, a five-day immersive experience scheduled from February 26th to March 2nd. Now in its fourth year, this event will welcome 50 wedding professionals from key markets including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Latin America, Italy, and Germany.

The conference provides planners with firsthand experience of what they recommend to clients, allowing them to explore six distinct Bahamian islands. Each island offers unique cultural and natural attractions that showcase the diversity of the destination.

Immersive Island Experiences for Wedding Professionals

Participants will engage in a variety of activities designed to connect them with the authentic heart of The Bahamas:

  • Exploring the artistic traditions at the Androsia Batik Factory in Andros
  • Encountering dolphins in Grand Bahama
  • Enjoying relaxed moments at Chat 'N' Chill in Exuma
  • Horseback riding along the iconic pink sands of Harbour Island
  • Visiting Abaco Neem and participating in a pineapple tour in Eleuthera

The week will also feature a symposium and mini-marketplace, creating opportunities for international wedding planners to connect with Bahamian romance professionals. These interactions are designed to foster collaboration and build lasting relationships that extend beyond the event itself.

Together, Romance Week and the From The Bahamas with Love conference demonstrate The Bahamas' commitment to maintaining its position as a destination where romance is not merely celebrated but genuinely lived across a lifetime of special moments.
