Tourism Calgary Unveils 2026 Attractions Pass to Boost Local Discovery

Tourism Calgary is encouraging residents to rediscover the vibrant offerings of their city with the launch of the 2026 Calgary Attractions Pass. This complimentary initiative provides access to discounts at ten prominent local attractions, including Heritage Park, the Calgary Zoo, WinSport, and the Calgary Tower. The pass, which can be conveniently accessed via mobile devices without requiring an app, remains valid until December 31, 2026.

Enhancing Visitor and Local Experiences

Jeff Hessel, senior vice president of marketing for Tourism Calgary, emphasized the dual benefits of the pass. "We really hope that both visitors to Calgary as well as Calgarians take advantage of this pass," he stated. For tourists, the pass adds extra value and savings, enabling them to explore Calgary more affordably. For locals, it serves as a gateway to activities within the city, especially as warmer weather approaches, and helps them showcase Calgary's attractions to visiting friends and family.

Hessel highlighted that nearly half of Calgary's visitors are there to see acquaintances, making the pass an ideal tool for enhancing these social visits. "This just gives them a great reason to go, because they're getting a great discount and just an opportunity to go have a great day in Calgary," he added.

Rewards and Incentives for Participation

Beyond discounts, the pass includes a rewards system where users collect points for each attraction visited. Prizes are awarded after every three check-ins, and each visit enters participants into a grand prize draw for a weekend getaway in 2027. Those who visit all ten attractions will receive ten bonus entries, increasing their chances of winning.

Reflecting on past success, Hessel noted that tens of thousands of Calgarians and visitors utilized last year's pass, with improvements made annually. "We really do hope that locals will participate," he said. "They are an important ambassador to the city, and the more that they know about the city, and the more that they love the various experiences and venues that we have here, the better for them to share that with their friends and family and others that they come across."

The 2026 Calgary Attractions Pass aims to foster community engagement and support local tourism, building on previous years' positive feedback and participation rates.
