On Saturday, May 2, 2026, the iconic Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, became the epicenter of a massive celebration as Corona, a brand under Labatt Breweries of Canada, hosted the second edition of Todo Mundo no Rio. The event drew an estimated 2 million fans from around the world, transforming the sandy shoreline into an open-air festival of music, nature, and human connection.
A Record-Breaking Musical Spectacle
The highlight of the evening was a breathtaking performance by global superstar Shakira, who headlined the concert. Last year's event had already made history by earning a Guinness World Record for the largest beach concert headlined by a female artist. This year, the legacy continued as millions gathered to witness another unforgettable show.
Attendees were treated to a lineup of international icons, including Bruna Marquezine, Zaira Nara, Mike Bahía, and Bella Campos. The festivities began in Corona's backstage lounge, where guests of legal drinking age enjoyed special Corona-inspired cocktails, customized exclusive merchandise, and danced to sets from local and international DJs before heading to the sand for the main event.
An Immersive Beach Experience
Corona, a brand born at the beach, aimed to embody its ethos of "This is Living" through the event. Clarissa Pantoja, Global Vice President of Corona, described the magic of watching the sunset over the ocean while feeling the ocean breeze, creating memories that last a lifetime. "Todo Mundo no Rio in Copacabana is about creating memories for fans who share this passion for the beach lifestyle and embrace real world connection," she said.
The event extended beyond the concert stage. Limited-edition Corona bottles, made entirely of aluminum and featuring the message "This is Living. This is Rio," were available for purchase along the shore. Rio de Janeiro itself was immersed in the celebration, with exclusive merchandise sold in stores and on Instagram for those unable to attend. A hospitality program at renowned hotels, including the historic Copacabana Palace, offered poolside sunset happy hours for traveling guests.
A Commitment to Iconic Shorelines
Corona has long celebrated the world's most iconic beaches, introducing its Beach 100 list during its 100-year anniversary in 2025. Copacabana, featured on that list, represents more than a destination—it is a place to reconnect with the outdoors and what matters most. This year, Corona invited the world to experience that feeling firsthand, and 2 million people answered the call.
As the sun set on Todo Mundo no Rio 2026, the brand has already begun planning for next year's event, promising even more epic experiences for fans worldwide.
