Win a Milestone Voyage
From now until July 31, 2026, guests can enter for a chance to sail from Southampton to New York from November 10-17, 2026. The prize includes flights, hotel accommodations in Southampton, and transportation to and from the port. The winner and a guest will experience the rebirth of the golden age of ocean travel aboard the world's only ocean liner.
A Rich Heritage of Transatlantic Travel
The announcement comes as Cunard celebrates its 186-year legacy. On July 4, 2026, the cruise line will mark the anniversary of its first crossing in 1840, when RMS Britannia departed Liverpool for Boston. This voyage launched the world's first regularly scheduled transatlantic steamship service. Today, Queen Mary 2 remains the only active ocean liner with scheduled crossings between New York and Southampton.

On July 4, 2026, Queen Mary 2 will participate in Sail4th 250 in New York Harbor, the largest international flotilla of tall ships and naval vessels ever assembled. Cunard's connection to U.S. history is deep: an estimated one in five immigrants traveled to the U.S. aboard Cunard steamships between 1840 and 1923. Today, the fleet includes Queen Mary 2, Queen Elizabeth, Queen Victoria, and the newest ship, Queen Anne.
