Democratic lawmakers have strongly condemned the Pentagon's decision to award a $24 million contract to a robotics startup associated with Eric Trump, the son of President Donald Trump. The company, Foundation Future Industries, where Eric Trump serves as chief strategy adviser, secured the deal to test heavy-duty humanoid robots. Critics argue this raises serious ethical concerns and accuse the Trump family of continuing to profit from the president's time in office.

Eric Trump highlighted the contract during an appearance on Fox Business's "Mornings With Maria" with Maria Bartiromo on Thursday. The deal comes as President Trump pursues an ongoing military campaign against Iran.
Lawmakers React With Outrage
Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) responded sharply on X, the platform owned by Elon Musk, asking, "Is the Pentagon just a cash machine for Trump's kids now?" She added, "This looks like corruption in plain sight."
Representative Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) wrote, "You can't make this stuff up. The most corrupt first family of all time." Representative Ruben Gallego (D-Ariz.) commented, "For your family the war in Iran means paying more. For Trump's family the war in Iran means making more."
Representative Shontel Brown (D-Ohio) stated, "The Trump Family gets rich off of Trump's war. Working people get higher prices." Representative Darren Soto (D-Fla.) accused Eric Trump of "bragging about corruption openly" and warned that "a political reckoning will be coming soon. It's only a matter of time."
