Edmonton police are appealing to the public for dashcam and surveillance footage as they continue their investigation into a shooting that occurred in north Edmonton earlier this year, leaving two individuals injured.
Investigators have determined that the suspect allegedly arrived in a dark-colored pickup truck, which was parked along the west side of 78 Street near 173 Avenue from approximately 9:45 p.m. on the night of the incident.
Incident Details
Officers responded to reports of gunfire at a residence in the Schonsee neighbourhood around 11:30 p.m. on April 24. According to police, multiple shots were fired at residents as they arrived at the property.
Two adults were treated at the scene by paramedics before being transported to the hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening. No other injuries were reported.
Suspect Vehicle Description
Investigators reviewing surveillance footage revealed that the suspect allegedly arrived in a dark-colored pickup truck. The vehicle had been parked along the west side of 78 Street near 173 Avenue since about 9:45 p.m.
The suspect exited the vehicle before the shooting and fled the area immediately afterward. The truck was last seen traveling east on 173 Avenue.
Appeal for Footage
Police are asking anyone who may have recorded video in the area between 9:45 p.m. and 11:45 p.m. on April 24 to come forward. Investigators are particularly interested in footage showing a dark-colored truck traveling along 173 Avenue or southbound on 78 Street from 173 Avenue.
