Gatineau police have identified a 39-year-old woman as the victim in the city's first homicide of 2026. Justine Larche was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders after a late-night incident on Thursday, April 23.

Police were called at approximately 11:30 p.m. to an establishment on Main Street in the Lac-Beauchamp district. Upon arrival, officers discovered Larche with serious wounds. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
