Ottawa police have arrested a 45-year-old man in connection with 20 break-and-enters at businesses in the Overbrook and Vanier neighbourhoods, laying a total of 61 charges. The investigation, which began on February 1, covered incidents occurring through June 1, with some businesses victimized more than once.
Investigation details
According to a news release from the Ottawa Police Service, the probe focused on a burglary spree that targeted commercial properties. The suspect, who was not identified by police, remained in custody as of June 23 and was scheduled to appear in court on June 29. Charges include multiple counts of break and enter, mischief, possession of break-in instruments, and breaches of probation conditions.
